Well IBM came back to me and gave me the bad news, I cannot get me new system until the end of the month! They did offer to try for next week but I cannot schedule the delivery so I agreed to let it slide until the week of the 27th. However the bright side is they “have a backlog” which I hope to mean they are shipping lots of boxes!
I still have access to the VLP systems in the interim so I can still keep developing Version 2 of RAP until the new box arrives. I have got the basics of the audit process running as per my recent posts about the numbers of audits I can run and the impact it has on the system. I am now working on Profile and password replication to give it a bit more functionality that customers have been asking for. Initial tests look good, but it needs quite a bit of tidying up before its ready. Next phase will be the object replication capabilities although I am thinking this may be quite an undertaking so it may slip to the next release after this one.
I am looking forward to getting an environment where I can see and test data running between the systems without all of the messing around I have to do to get the objects in synch between the VLP systems, perhaps the object replication process will be used to test this functionality? I am also looking forward to getting a clear A – Z process defined for taking a scratch i5 and making it into a LAMPS system, perhaps with SugarCRM on?
